The profile page is a nice little hub of all your activity. From it, you can do all of the following:

1. Tell folks a little about yourself

2. Track all of your posts and activity in the forum

3. Upload photo galleries

4. Maintain lists of buddies

5. and much, much more…

All that said, this is a tutorial for folks that just need the basics. So that in mind, we will just go over the basics for now. The most important part of the user page is the tabbed environment that hosts all the information about you.

The first tab is the “About Me” tab. From it, folks can see as much or as little as you want them to know about you. To maintain this information, click here. You are taken to the User CP. On the left hand side, you will see links for Editing Your Details and Profile Privacy. Simply fill out the forms on each of those pages to set the content in the “About Me” tab.

The second tab is the “Statistics” tab. From here, you can track all of your threads and posts. Just click each to see what you have been up to.

The third tab is the “Friends” tab. When you have friends (we will go over this later as it’s a more complex feature), they will appear here.

The fourth tab is the “Contact” tab. From here, folks can send you a private message or an email (if you have your privacy permission set to allow them).

This all seems very straight forward… and it is. As you grow in the forum, you will begin to realize just how powerful your profile page can be.
