As to the popping out of 2nd gear, it could just be linkage needing adjusting.
Or, 2nd gear syncros are worn.

I'm sorry if I misled you. I don't have Fordomatic, I'm just saying that Red's made 2 different set of headers for my stick with O/D cars and they were great. Again, give them a call.

Have used Red's twice, no problems. GR8 fit etc. Did you tell them you have Fordomatic when you ordered ? Very important ! X 2 on calling.

For a wax, I used Meguiar's Carnoba Plus. To maintain a water beading shine later on, I occasionally used Turtle Spray & dry after a car wash. Spray on while wet, wipe dry with a towel.

Had a voltage regulator once that was causing a discharge situation. Removed the cover, and it worked fine. Ended up putting a plastic food storage container on it until I got a new regulator. Go...

O K Pete, you got me. My "little gray cells" ain't what they used to be. I remember the bicycle and actually like them better than the Schwinn. Just like I like our old Flatheads better than S M C

I'm with tubman here.He is VERY SHARP on these matters. But I'm wondering, is the car is equipped with automatic trans. ? I think that style of carburetor was used with Ford-o-matic, ????
