Default Today in V8 history

Question : is today the anniversary of the introduction of the first Ford V8 engine in 1932 ? Seems I read that somewhere. Thanks guys.

First serializes V8 engine (18-1) produced on March 7,1932, vehicle Job#1 was March 9th, and public introduction was March 31st.
