Anyone have experience with Red's headers on a 1951 Ford convertible with Fordomatic transmission? I haven't tried to install the headers yet, but it looks like the headers might interfere with the transmission shift linkage and neutral safety switch. Any thoughts on this issue? Thanks.

Have used Red's twice, no problems. GR8 fit etc. Did you tell them you have Fordomatic when you ordered ? Very important ! X 2 on calling.

I finally had Red's headers installed on my 1951 Ford convertible. Red's also sent the gaskets and bolts I needed to attach them. They fit perfectly with no interference with the Fordomatic shift linkage. I did, however, need to adjust the position of the neutral safety switch; which, fortunately was adjustable. I'm very pleased with Red's Headers.

Glad to hear of your positive experience with Red's headers on your '51. Just curious, WHEN did you purchase these headers? I ask because presently they don't answer the phone or respond to emails.

I bought the headers several months ago. It took several phone calls before a human answered. He was very knowledgeable about the headers I wanted. Shipping took a couple of weeks. The delay in installing them was due to my priming with Raptor primer and shooting them with Eastwood header paint. They were well made and fit perfectly on my convertible. I would recommend that you keep trying to talk to someone at Red's Headers. It's worth it.
