Re: 1935 or 1940 Frame ?

Re: “Correct” fan belt doesn’t fit

Re: First Start - C59A

I think the reason you saw hi coolant temps is because of the way you have configured your top hose[s]. I've always understood that the cooling principle with these engines is thermo-syphon with...

Re: Gearbox identification

Graham, At a guess I'd assume that trans to have been originally fitted to a '35 European Ford with the early 4 mains V8 60. The rods would be the engine stay rods, subsequently attached to the bell...

Re: How to install cross brake mechansim return spring

I just use a bit of 1/16" welding wire, bend it into a U, feed it through the hole at back of Xmember, put hook of the spring into the U shape, use a pair of vice grips on the two ends of the wire as...

Re: Ted's Brake Floater Kit review

the description by ford38V8 above, does not pertain to Ted's floater kit, but rather, to a kit that was of totally different design. Ted's kit does not incorporate a star wheel, rather, more closely...

Re: Valves

My way of thinking is that increasing the spring tension is the same as adding weight to the entire valve assembly so you’re not gaining anything!

Re: 81A-7222 shifter housing detent balls and springs

You can convert the earlier trans top to double detent style. I modified my 35 sloping top about 50 years ago, can't remember the details....it involves grinding another notch in the selector fork...

Re: Stromberg inlet valve wrong size

Re: Engine Break-in - How to measure rpms with Helmet Dist?

Re: Radiator Cap I.D.?
