Default 32 Panel Truck,France

Here are pics of an original '32 Panel found in the last 2 yrs here in France. The body itself was found in a collapsed shed that was being torn down. The guy that acquired it needed a chassis. Then a yr later found a '32 long chassis stake truck with a thrown together cab. They pulled that all apart ,shortened the chassis and Voila !
I previously posted pics of the stake truck when found. Here is a pic of the stake bed BB he found and used that chassis.
Pics from owner of panel as found. Remarkable so far what this young Frenchman has done !!

This is a great truck project. Thanks for the rescue. Hope to see it running on it's own soon.
It reminds me of my rescue of a 1936 Model 51 Panel Truck from a similarly collapsing barn. I added a couple images of the rescue. It's now just sitting in my garage waiting for someone to take on it's restoration. These large panel trucks are scarce as Ford didn't produce many and with a large fabric insert top, and wood-framed body, they didn't last long if they sat outside.

I'm usually not into "patina", but this one, I would leave as is. All of the lettering seems to me in English; "Woodley" doesn't sound like a French telephone exchange, either.

I wonder how the rear rim got bent like that?

Dave's 1936 Ford Panel Delivery was rescued in America, not to be confused with the 1932 Fords found in France.

Pretty wild that the panel and the donor stake truck had the same blue paint. Were they from the same place?

Looks like the French panel has a later full floating rear axle.

The flatbed truck had a BB tag on the firewall BUT the front of cowl and firewall were '33.Hood and grille shell were '32 as well as chassis and front fenders.Front axle '33 also.

(Post #13) I'd guess that the 1932 French BB Panel is sitting on a mid- or later 1934 BB truck frame. In the US, the full floating rear end was put into production in February 1934. I don't know when it was introduced into any European Ford production or assembly plants, but I'd assume that it would be later than February 1934.

(Post #15) I defer to deuce lover but the front axle for BB trucks was mostly unchanged from 1932 to the end of 1934 production. Again, that's the domestic US production story and I don't really know the European Ford assembly and production dates.

Dave, For your records, I have the "German" production totals listed as "TRUCKS"
1935 - 4210
1936 - 7763
SO, not sure what "TRUCKS" all encompasses??? BUT I would imagine what we all consider your expertise and the Model 51 big trucks
Just for this post
1932 - 662
1933 - 1161
1934 - 2097

Once again, German production ONLY

rockfla - I have a bit more insight into German Truck production. The Koln plant made the BB truck from 1932 to 1938 and I think they all had the 4-cylinder engine. In late 1935, or maybe late 1936 they produced what they call Model V-8 51 which is a also called a Model V-8 Three Tonner but is the same truck. They made the V-8 51 until 1939 only engine modifications and no body style changes. It makes production year identification by photos virtually impossible as the 1936-1938 V-8 51 trucks look alike. Same for the Model BB trucks. Attached is an image from 1936 of the Model V-8 51 truck and also from a 1936 brochure, a short wheelbase Model BB truck which is what I think the French panel truck now has underneath as it's running gear.
When you look at the reported number of "trucks" produced in Germany, they combine the AA, BB and V-8 51 in to one number for each year. I have yet to find German truck production numbers broken out into models.
I have the same German Truck production numbers for 1932 to 1936 that you posted.
I have absolutely no production information for French-built Ford Trucks.
