Default Garnish molding clips

I am preparing to put the garnish molding back on my 35 tudor sedan. The rear window molding has small flat clips, to hold the wire imbedded in the "fuzzY' window seal. I have eight clips in each piece of molding. My front windows do not have these. But they do have small screws holding a jagged edged retainer for what I believe is the "fuzzy" for the front windows. 1. Is eight of these enough for the rear windows? 2. Is the front garnish molding supposed to have them too? 3. I am trying to pry them out of the channel, but fear they might be very fragile and break. Does anyone have simple, reliable method for removing them without breaking them?
