Re: alternate 32 V8 carburetor
is your carb a one barrel? i am not familiar with the detroit lubricator carb. i would think a stromberg 48 or 97 r even 81 would run on it or the 94 holley carbs. more info please.

Re: Stromberg Carb question
i doubt you would notice much difference between the 97 and the 48 in every day driving. yours is a 97 as the 48 venturi is 1 1/32. the 97 is the more popular and the parts all interchange for...

Re: 59AB Flathead looking to buy.
i am assuming you already examined the deck for any cracks and haven't found any. this would be a real good sign if so. don't worry about the slight ridge on the walls if it is all uniform. you...

i always use an inline filter between tank and pump and between pump and carb and haven't had any pressure issues to speak of. i also use a pressure gauge and regulator and i don't recall any old...

Re: 97 vs 94. MPG?
my personal experience with my 52 F1, stock engine, was that the 94 (model 59) did out perform the 97 as to mileage as well as maintenance BUT, the 97 looks way better to old school guys. difference...

Re: ford carb
the 60hp is small, 17 studs on the head. the 85 is larger, 24 studs. you should have the 60hp and it is a very cool motor but a little underpowered. you can juice it up a bit though and it will be...
