Seeing the Ignition cable, looks like a Pop-Out or a Repro. I would suspect that as well.

Are you running the original condenser or is it under the cap? Part is inexpensive enough. I keep a spare in the car just in case. (cheap insurance policy)

What I do with mine is when I put it away, I turn off the fuel at the tank and let the carb run dry. Haven't had an issue and with the crap gas at the pump, keeps the carb from building up junk
