Re: 1956 Fairlane turning radius?

Re: Y block crank bullies-how many can I use?

The three sheave pully for "factory air" seems to be made of "unabtaniom" as the primary question I was asked by the close to a dozen folks was the crank pulley several years ago when I had the...

Re: 1955 Ford/Mercury 2dr Hardtop carpet suggestions?

A little trick I have learned using the ACC carpets. I lay them out in the sun for a few hours. Softens them up (stiffness loosens up) and they lay down nearly perfect. Easier to pull and push to...

Re: Was this my AC set up?

This is the A/C mount that was in a worn out 300. It was the same style mount that was in a 500 that came out of TX. Both were factory systems. Between the two I ended up with a complete system...

Re: 57 tunnel/body sag?

I'm having a bit of a problem visualizing your problem. If I'm reading correctly you are worried about the elevation change from tunnel to rocker? The floor pans run "down hill" from the tunnel to...

Re: Painting an Engine

My engine paint prep has been clean with a degreaser followed by a spray down with brake cleaner followed by a hot water Dawn dish soap bath and a good rinse. After things are dried I put a coat of...

Re: 58-62 292 factory air conditioning question

That was on a 57 300 I parted (car was broken in the middle). It folded when I jacked it up on the front cross member. A 57 500 I purchased with factory air had the exact same set up. The FE...

Re: 292 timing mark issue

Can't help with how it is marked. What I do is put a line of white paint on the mark I want and a dab of white on the pointer
On my 351C the white line goes on the damper and the dab on the...

Re: 58-62 292 factory air conditioning question

Couple of pics of the compressor mount for a 292. The crank pully had three shives, a somewhat rare animal. The compressor and generator were all two shives. Hope this answers/helps you.

Re: Disc brake conversion kits again

The 65 T-Birds had a single reservoir with a single line out. It actually split on the block mounted on the output port. The front line went straight to the calipers. The rear line went to a...

Re: Any tips on repairing 38 ford emblem

As long as you have "holding" cuts/grooves you should be OK. Had a problem with a 58 Edsel grill trim. Was still in place and holding after five years.

Re: Transmission Crossmember Question

Common problem with the 57/8&9s. Some folks drill a hole through the frame and use longer bolts. I chose to make "new" nuts. Drilled out the existing holes so the nut would fit in, marked the area...

Re: "lil red" 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente

Re: 55 T-Bird Blueprint

Might consider keeping the 3:79 and put in a mid 80s Ford truck 4 speed, standard 4 speed shift pattern with 4th being over drive. RUG I think is the model? Wide ratio change from 1st to 2nd making...
