Default 1955 F100 power steering

I want to add power steering to my pickup, any suggestions as to type, steering box or electric and where to buy. Thanks in advance

Well, it all depends on how you are planning on using the truck. Is it a driver, survivor, future restoration or resto-mod.

Most of the change-over kits are not OEM style. Say if electric, you are going to need an ALT and large battery to keep up with it.

Do you have shifting at the column? Another thing to consider.

I installed power steering in my 53 f-100 ,5 years ago ,works great ,bought the kit from CCP ,they use a GM type box 12 to 1 ratio. you need to cut the column and use a borgeson joint , you get the power steering pump and hoses with the kit ,the truck steers like a modern truck ,I also installed A S-10 5 speed on my flathead,
