Today in V8 history

Question : is today the anniversary of the introduction of the first Ford V8 engine in 1932 ? Seems I read that somewhere. Thanks guys.

As to the ruptured PV diaphragm, if it ever backfired through the carb, it may have "blown" the PV diaphragm.

Another vote for vac leak. Also, be sure you have the correct coil for the Pertronix.

Also, you must use their specific coil for your application or you'll have trouble. I know of more than one person who went back to a points system.

I had a friend who had several wagons and did his duals like post #2 did on that wonderful
1955 wagon. It was o k, but do TAKE HEED of straight out the back !!!!

Denny, I say both. I remember thinking my dad's 53 Packard was so big, till I turned 21 and rone in one. Those 2 gals may be petite .
