Way to go G B. LOVE them both !! Perhaps you could put a swap meet find minni flatty in the bed. I've built a few wooden pond boats; you may have inspired to build my very own 46 Jail Bar. Hmmmm.

19Fordy makes a good point too. If the leak is easy to access you can do it. I'd use 50/50 solder and the area MUST be clean.

Keep the patina, make her very road worthy, and "refresh" the interior to include a headliner and drive it man ! I had a friend with a 41 sedan delivery and you learn to deal with the blind spots....

I'd check for a vacuum leak, maybe lean fuel .... ??? Backfiring through the carb sure can damage the power valve.
