Re: 1956 Fairlane turning radius?
I #$%@ed up, as above I stated that the radius was "shorter". Thats incorrect, it is actually longer or wider, than other cars that I've owned. It's got the stock box, still. I just modified the...

Re: 55 ford steering column bezel
Ford did not offer a floor shifter on your car. That goes for both standard & automatic transmissions. Which do you have? I had the same problem, as my car had the shifter (automatic) moved to the...

Re: Y-Block engine parts
Speedway Motors has a pretty good assortment of Y block stuff. I joined Facebook 5 yrs. ago just to have access to their "Marketplace" section. I have bought & sold countless items on there. It's...

Re: 1959 Ford Radiator and fan problems
First, welcome to the Ford Barn. Is this a new problem that just popped up on a car you have had for years, or is it a car you recently purchased & am not familiar with? How close is your fan to the...

Re: Heater hoses on '56 Fairlane
Found the problem! There is an inline shut-off valve in the hose going to the heater core. It was closed, so something was plugged after all. Why would anybody want to shut off the coolant to the...

Re: Heater hoses on '56 Fairlane
Thanks HRR. My car has a 351C in it that is out of a '72 Mustang. No valves on the manifold. I have 2 hoses going into the heater core, but they don't get hot. Hence, no heat. ????

Re: 1955 Fairlane headlight bezel with chrome.
I just got a set from a guy on Facebook. Look for the 55-56-57 group page on there. The eyebrow chrome trim is pricey. Best deal I found was on ebay from the Early Ford Store. 140 vs 175-200 w/other...

Re: Stupid Accessory I couldn't resist
It's period correct. It works. It allows you to keep your original radio. It was priced very reasonably. It was easy to install. It looks great. Nothing "stupid" about that at all. It's a "win" in my...
