EBay us a good source for the rims themselves. They are special for the trim pieces.. You may find them with or without the trim pieces. The trim piece are available repro, check with the suppliers (Drake, Carpenter, etc) or, again, ebay. Also place a wanted ad in the old car sites you go to.
I got both the headlight rims and the trim on ebay.. The trim were the repros and they fit food. I don't remember clips. Screws hold the trim piece in place if I remember correctly..

I just got a set from a guy on Facebook. Look for the 55-56-57 group page on there. The eyebrow chrome trim is pricey. Best deal I found was on ebay from the Early Ford Store. 140 vs 175-200 w/other suppliers. (plus shipping)

https://www.earlyfordstore.com/produ...dc2f1cbe&_ss=r That style headlight door casting may a one-year-only part, '55 Fairlane. Not reproduced, used originals only. Or NOS if you're incredibly lucky. The top inside of the casting is open to allow the chrome 'eyebrow' to fit in. The trim is held in place with 3 screws on the back side. The red ones below were repainted and are on the car in my avatar photo. The black one is only copied photos from an old ebay ad. . Last edited by dmsfrr; 06-14-2025 at 02:52 PM. |

I saw a pair once (several months ago) on craigslist but I don't remember what part of the country. I'm sure they're gone now but others might pop up. I use a site called searchtempest.com to search ALL of craigslist. Type in your search criteria, location zipcode and how many miles away you're willing to go (I always choose "any location") then start scrolling. You'll get a lot of irrelevant returns but if you're patient you might find a good listing. For a search, I'd just type in 1955 Ford. That way you'll hopefully get anything related, including parts cars.

You might try this guy. I don't know him and am not associated. Just ran across his ad.

Found some. Mismatched as to color and they look a bit rough.
