Good afternoon all !
I just relocated my column shifter from the steering column of my 55 Ford Fairlane to the floor. I would like to find a steering wheel dash bezel that doesn't have the opening for the shifter tube. Did Ford produce a floor shift on this model, so I can find such a bezel or is this just a pipe dream ? I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks Dorf55 |

Ford did not offer a floor shifter on your car. That goes for both standard & automatic transmissions. Which do you have? I had the same problem, as my car had the shifter (automatic) moved to the floor, & had no bezel on it when I got it. So, I mounted a small tachometer on the column, in front of the opening. Looks fine.

The previous owner of my car mounted a round light in the shifter tube location. This is not a good shot, but you can get the idea.

Very clean appearance - I have the photo(s) but they are on the wrong format. I will try to correct and post. |
