I'm suspicious that this was ever a police vehicle. I was employed by the Washington State Patrol for 43 years. I do not recall every seeing a two door sedan being used for this purpose.

FYI. The 49/53 mercury used a 4 bladed fan. This fan will replace the ford 3 blade fan.

I'm in need of the drive gear assembly for my 1955 mercury with merc-o-matic transmission. The drive gear is different than the one for standard transmission. It's the Y block series.

The Y block carb has a 1 1/16th venturi. One has been installed on my 1951 8BA. I notice a little bit better acceleration when going through the gears.

Yes, all three starters are original and came off engines that worked fine.

Search did not locate information. I've removed entire speedometer cable and housing. They have been cleaned up with solvent. Now, open to suggestions on what to use for lubrication. HELP!
