That's encouraging, I have a few minor problems, prostate cancer (that's being treated), 4 crushed vertebrae in the lower back and a torn tendon (that can't be repaired) in my right shoulder, other than that I'm doing good.

I turned 83 the day after Christmas. Still feeling and getting around good at this point in time. I have quite a few old cars & trucks and I am currently looking for a driver 1930 or '31 A pickup. I still do all of my own work.

I went to my 86 YO neighbors funeral today who died from Dementia. On the inside of his casket lid it said... "If You Rest You Rust" I found that fitting because he was a hard working farmer....

Bob - can’t thank you enough for even just the amount you’ve taught just me. Let alone all the others you have taught.

I made a post on Facebook the other day in essence pointing out the fact that at 51 I’m usually the “youngest” at any Model A gathering I go to. I’ve always found it concerning in a way as with my main hobby/sport/business (cycling) we are continually concerned it’s for an aging market and new people aren’t coming in.

Cycling also taught me something else - it is truly a frame of mind. I’ve seen older guys eat young guy’s lunches on rides all the way until they just decide they’re old one day and everything changes.

We are lucky enough to have a 102 yr old in our club who makes it to the meetings. Last month he told us about how he removed a stuck cylinder head. He’s a surviving WWII vet as well.

I’m genuinely appreciative of all of you in this age range. My own father is 83 and can barely use his phone let alone text or post online. So thank you all and keep it up.

In the late 90's I went to a vintage flat track bike show.I watched all those crippled up oly guys staggering around, walking routes where they could grab onto something every few steps. There was a gang of younger guys with every bike, pushing them around, getting them ready to ride them around the track for their grandpas. Then they started firing them up,open exhaust, total loss oiling systems, two wheels,a motor, and a piece of leather tied where the seat should be.I got a surprise when they started setting these old guys on the bikes ready to go.Then the whole pack was just gone.Coming out of the corners all you could see was the sides of the bikes and roostertails. They were riding those bikes like they had over 60 years earlier.

Wow! God bless all of the seniors on the Barn, and I pray all will accomplish their bucket lists. I pray that 2026 will be a great Model "A" year for us all!

I am 82.6 today. I have 7 1/2 various A's with all of them runnable. One is in a friend's shop getting the interior & roof done. The 1/2 is most of the parts to make a Speedster that has been setting for a while. I should spend more time playing with them but keep postponing stuff. I have a Mitchell synchro trans and an overdrive to go in my year old Vicky. It is in very good shape and I do not want to disturb the interior condition yet. I should install the '39 trans that has been sitting around but everything else runs and I don't want to take anything apart that does not need to be sidelined. My general health is pretty good and I was hoping for a new hip but the doc said probably not now. Tylenol and rub on lotion keep me moving. The winter here in Tenn has been good and I get out without Arctic clothing like I had when we lived in northern Illinois.

I am '83. Good to see so many about my age. Hope all the rest are in good health. Still walk about 3 miles most days of the week and trout streams as much as possible.

I'm 93...still driving my 1930 town Sedan and doing my own maintenance, albeit with considerable effort and patience....still read Barn every day and learning something new everyday....wriggling around under the A sure helps keep me fit mentally and physically....

At 74 I'm just a babe in comparison, but I have an 84-year-old friend who still has the Model A coupe he drove to high school. I think he's my hero. He still works on and maintains his fleet of cars, trucks, tractors, and steam engines.

At 73 I'm among the younger members of my club. This past year we had 12 new members join, and included were several in (my estimate) their 40's and 50's. One new member is 15 years old with her grandfather's roadster, she dragged her dad into the club. Great to see that the "younger" set is interested.

I turned 80 in June. Got my first model a two years ago from up in Utah. I love the hobby it keeps me busy working on it and driving it. IÂ’ve learned a lot from this club. Thanks guys......Vern.
