Just a guess, it might be a 60 hp V8 transmission. 54 is the number (prefix) Ford USA used for 60 hp stuff. We first got 60 hp cars starting in 1937, after 6,000+ had been built for Europe starting in 1935. You might have a 60 hp transmission. I don't know if the European 60 hp transmissions were the same as USA 60 hp transmissions or not.
