Default Looking for these original OE cage nuts

Hey guys,

I’m working on putting my 1934 truck cab back together, and I am missing some cage nuts that are riveted into D-shaped holes. Does anyone one know if there is a source for them? I’ve checked a few of the parts suppliers but have only come up with the standard cage nuts or D-clinch nuts. The 1/4-20’s attach the roof to the pillars and the 10-32 hold in the windshield. Please look at the pics to see what I’m after.

THANKS!

ALSO, IF you like you can also look at the "weld" style cage nuts there too

They don't rivet into place; you peen them into the pre-punched hole.

The cage nuts need to have the cage welded or spot welded in place. The D-nuts are peened into the D shaped hole and both come in various sizes. You may not find the exactly same cage shape

Try ThirdGen for the D nuts that you are looking for. (not called cage nuts as they are different)
I got the ones I needed from Roy Nacewicz (now sold through Third Gen) years ago.

They may have them...... may not.

I ordered the D-nuts from Snyders this morning. Before I even made this post I checked all of the suppliers mentioned. Again, my intent was to come up with what was originally in place, not a substitute. The D-nuts should work fine once peened in place.. if they match the existing holes!!! lol it’s always something.

Thanks!
