Sounds like the needle is not seating correctly .. or float is way out . Maybe change to one of the Grosse ones if it hasnt got one .

This engine was the one that they lost the caps too and I had to get others so it was line bored. Lawrie ; Clearance should have been spot on the guy that did the crank...

Ive just had my fly wheel lightened , surfaced and the clutch all balanced. new clutch plate from a different supplier [not FW], it has the shrouds around the springs.. Its a shocker! the clutch...

Make sure its a screw in type. I still have my American made ABW one, spot on .
And while you're at it make sure you have a good vacuum gauge too..

Did the same thing on this build, split guides can be a pain to line up and get the ol' shoe in. I checked what I was doing so picked it up no problem.

Make sure you use something that pulls amps, at least you know it will work, Spal would be the choice if in the U.S.

I cant remember if Ive shown you guys the flathead camshaft my wife bought me for my birthday a few years ago.. Still haven't gotten around to light it up :rolleyes:
