Yup Thats what i do. He always finds something. The mounting flange isn't flat, the throtttle shaft is worn and leaking etc.
It's always something more then just a rebuild.

I guess your looking to making a pair. I've made them for all my cars by making cardboard patterns. I've used waterproof door panel board and recently ABS plastic.

YES to all above. Only thing I did differently was I bought a rebuilt distributor from Michael at Third Generation. Another great vendor.

I have a rebuilt distributor from Michael at Third Generation and he recommended NOT running it. The motor runs amazing.

I've been taking my 39 apart for paint and when I stripped everything off the doors all screws were right there to remove. If your reffering to the straight molding on top of the door then the screws...

I bought the worm and shaft combo after reading it could be a bear getting it off. Seems a two arm puller works real well though.

Never worried about getting pulled over. I worry about getting in an accident and the other sides lawyer brings up the car wasn't suppose to be on the road at that time. Again for $40 a year your...

When I ran QQ I would get a renewal in the mail just like any other car but with no charge. I stopped using them because of the restrictions. For the $40 bucks a year I can drive any day any time....
