Re: New Rookie Question about Removing 32 Engine

As others said, it is best to have an engine load leveler. As you can see, you really need to get a good upward angle as you come out. (This was on my 37 coupe) I pulled the engine and trans...

Re: 36' Headlight Reflector Size

Here is a picture of the 1936 headlight assembly from the Ford Chassis parts book. Perhaps there is a part number stamped on your reflector 48-13028 so you can verify it is the correct one. The clip...

Re: Odd Frame Repair?

I do appreciate all the information and advice. If I was doing a frame off restoration on this car, which I am not, I would replace the crossmember. Looking at what I would need to remove from the...

Re: 1937 21 Stud Oil pan front and rear seal and gasket clarification.

Ggmac, I appreciate your feedback and will do that. I assume that these plugs go through to the engine water jackets. I'd guess these, like all freeze plugs are susceptible to rust. I had the water...

Re: Clutch Release Shaft Bushing tool

Mike,
When I check the third gen site today it says he has 15 on hand. Not sure if for some reason that's incorrect. Nate

Re: Clutch Release Shaft Bushing tool

Found this 7/8" driver on this site for $12.00. Might call them and see what the outside diameter of the driver measures.

Re: Clutch Release Shaft Bushing tool

I purchase one of these drivers a while back from Third Gen. Here are the dimensions of the driver as well as the bushing. Maybe you can find a driver local that would work. Hope this helps.

Re: 37 Deluxe Coupe with a 11" clutch?

Terry, I appreciate your question and checked the transmission bell housing and find no witness marks where it could have been rubbing. I had no unusual noise in the driveline in the 4 years I have...

Re: 37 Deluxe Coupe with a 11" clutch?

Well, it was working fine, and since I have already replaced the ring gear and had it resurfaced, that is what I will do. Appreciate everyone's input as always. Nate Anello

Re: 37 Deluxe Coupe with a 11" clutch?

Purchased the car in 2019 and put maybe 1500 mile going to local car shows and just goofing off. Runs great. Clutch wasn't slipping but was at its adjustment limit.

Re: Is this a normal wear pattern on oil pump idler cover plate and block mating surf

I appreciate the advice. When I check the bushing on the shaft, there is some excess clearance present. Van Pelt list these parts

37 21 Stud Crank Pulley Torque Spec

After searching the past post and looking at the Van Pelts chart, I don't see a torque spec for the crank pulley bolt. Some of the later engines in past post say 45 to 55 foot pound. Is that spec...
