Hi Everyone,
I have new glass for a 31 Tudor rear window. Is there an easy way to remove the old glass from the track? The old glass is already broken so I am not too worried about damage to it. Do I heat the track? Thanks, Jim |

Do you mean removing the glass from the metal piece across the bottom, that moves the glass up and down? Try working a thin putty knife down either side to free up the glass.
Another handy tip: use mineral spirits as a lube when installing the new glass with the rubber or cork setting material. Doug

I found that if I warmed up the metal the glass pulled right out, along with the rubber piece. I have new rubber material that came with the glass, but I think it is too thin?
The glass with the gasket slides in and out too easy. Am I supposed to use any type of adhesive? Thanks, Jim |
