Default Just blew my Engine. Looking for the best advice on a replacement

Hey guys,

Well the original engine that was in my car was always weak (it leaked lots of oil out of the back of the engine (worn babbits) the crankshaft had a ton of play, and it really had no power. Took her out for a drive today and it finally blew up.

Im looking for advice on where to get a new engine from, and what kind of configuration to get. I know I want INSERTED bearings. I live in an area with LOTS of hills, and im looking for a little bit more power out of the stock engine. Possibly looking into a dual carb setup as well.

Just wondering if anyone can give me any ideas on what I should need. I plan on keeping the stock trans, not putting overdrive in. I already have a new water pump, generator, starter etc..

Thanks guys!
