Garnish molding clips I am preparing to put the garnish molding back on my 35 tudor sedan. The rear window molding has small flat clips, to hold the wire imbedded in the "fuzzY' window seal. I have eight clips in each piece of molding. My front windows do not have these. But they do have small screws holding a jagged edged retainer for what I believe is the "fuzzy" for the front windows. 1. Is eight of these enough for the rear windows? 2. Is the front garnish molding supposed to have them too? 3. I am trying to pry them out of the channel, but fear they might be very fragile and break. Does anyone have simple, reliable method for removing them without breaking them?

Re: Garnish molding clips Thanks Terry. I found a couple sources for them.
SSFFnomad, it's the second ones. Thanks. Cut does anyone know a secret to removing them? I'm concerned they'll break. Did the front windows use them too? |

Yes the front door windows use these clips. To remove you need to pry up on the end of the clip inside the window frame.
Attached is my drawing of what I did to install the new or used clips into the window frames. |

Re: Garnish molding clips Thanks Gary. That makes it very clear.
Pete, once again, thanks for making big enough for these old eyes to see. |
