Default Modification Needed to Install Melling 19 Pump in 1936 LB

I bought the late short body 80 lb. pump for the 1936 LB motor that I just rebuilt. I also bought the pickup pickup but the baffle in the pan hits the pickup. I know I could modify the baffle but wonder what anyone else would recommend. Thanks for any help. It has been a few years but I recall no such issue on a 59A that I used this pump and pickup in. Could I just use an oilpan from a 59A.
