1937 crank pulley seal?

Hey fellas,

So my crank pulley is leaking so I assume it’s the seal. I recently purchased this but is it correct for my car?



I understand that originally it had some sort of rope seal but I want to upgrade it so I don’t have any issue I’m the future.

With that said will this kit work even though it says 49-53?



Any mods I need to do to the crank shaft?
