Computer question...
After installing "page numbers" within a document...what, then is the correct procedure to "remove" the page numbers from that same document?
Thanks. Pluck |

Re: Computer question...
Did you create the document or did you copy an existing document?

Re: Computer question...
is this in Word? - if it is check under INSERT then should be a box labeled Header&footer check the page number thing under there.
If its older versions of word i think its under page setup or layout but should be under header and footer area regardless.

Re: Computer question...
If it's in Word, bring the document up and delete the numbers and when he goes to 'save' the document, he'll be asked if he wants to save the changes, yes, and the changes are gone.

Re: Computer question...
The most intuitive way to do this in WORD would be to put your cursor next to the page number in the footer of your document. Any page will do. Now double click to put you in editing mode for the footer. Delete the page number as you would for text in the main body of the document. This will delete the page numbers for all pages EXCEPT if you have set up your document in sections, in which case you'll have to repeat this process for each section.

Re: Computer question...
Assuming you are using MS Word, it depends on the version that you are using. In most versions it is in the Header/Footer which is accessed by going to View>Header. If you are using a version that uses 'the ribbon' controls, you go to the Insert ribbon and then Page Number on the Header & Footer section.

Re: Computer question...
Funny this non-topic post has yet to get deleted... I wonder why some do and others don't. Anyone know why?

Re: Computer question...
I agree Tom 100%, without a computer, we wouldn't/couldn't be here. I'm not a computer geek, self taught what I know and I forget easy what I have learned.

Re: Computer question...
I'm all fine with ANYONE asking ANY question.... However for me posting about a seatbelt recall, I was given 1 week of timeout (disabled)... So I don't post as often... So as mentioned above by Ed, all depends who is it, not what is posted.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that Henry would have used an eraser.
