Hello, and Welcome.
I agree, it would be a travesty to cut up any vintage vehicle to rod it. There are so many failed projects out there available that can be built. I love classic Rods as well and have built a few bikes. Where were you from in NH? I am still stuck here You might he interested in building a Speedster. Fun to build on a budget, fun to drive, can be mildly rodded without permanently destroying parts, and are always attention getters at cruise nights.
