Default Re: PTO on a Model A?

I believe the Model AA four speed (Borg Warner Transmission) has the PTO blank on the passenger side as mentioned. Also this blank/connection is an SAE standard: there may be MANY PTO boxes that will fit it.

IIRC there are 6 bolt SAE connections (Like the Model AA) and there are 8 and beyond bolt connections: other than the number of bolts the setup is similar but the larger units are definitely the 6 bolt on steroids. You can search on the internet using search terms 6 bolt SAE PTO and come to MANY brochures and an outline of the standards from different makers. One I picked out was http://www.metaris.com/catalogs/PTO-Catalogue-V3.pdf

Back when I was trying to get an AA truck together for my own use, I found a PTO takeoff at one of the fleamarket/engine shows for $5. It was totally worn out but could have been rebuilt for use.
