No, but if you use a '49-'50 Mercury or '48-'52 truck 1/2 bell or adaptor, it will.

AS V8 Bob mentioned, The 8CM will bolt up to any early V8 transmission with a 1 3/8 X 10 spline main input drive shaft if you use all the bell housing and clutch components of the 8CM or 49 through early 51 mercury with standard 3-speed or 3-speed with electric overdrive. Otherwise you have to machine the flywheel to fit the early long type clutch set up of the 59AB or earier V8s.
