I've had mine for 8 plus years, now on it's second Model A. Started with AFT and later the builder recommend 30wt motor oil. If your pump begins to wear, and doesn't shift into second over very well, then try 50wt.
I live in CA where we have hot summers. So 30 wt might be you best choice.
The overdrive will hold 1 quart of oil.
