Do something on the car every day, even if it's just cleaning up a nut and bolt. Keep the impetus going, the day you have a rest from doing anything becomes a week, then a month, the reason there is so many unfinished projects out there....

Toe-in adjustment is accomplished easily with tires on newspapers to slide easily. A 2x2 spans the width of the car, with outriggers for stability and uprights having a pointer on one and a ruler on the other. A chalk mark is made round both tires while spinning, a fine line scribed onto that mark for accuracy. Pointer on the mark at back, measurement at ruler, compare to the front. Bounce front end a couple times to allow tires to adjust position: ⅛” less in front than behind.

Remove spider hubcaps from the front with a small hook on the end of a slide hammer.
Electronics go bonkers while an engine is running, so use an analog meter instead.

Folks,
I read somewhere it can take approx 7 years on average to restore a old truck (or car). A couple questions that come to mind. Do you have the time to spend on the car or truck? Do you have the skills and tools to do the required tasks? Do you have the place to do the work? Do you have the funds to complete the project? Each one of these items can/will have sub categories that take you down that rabbit hole. Regards, Chris and Cheryl
