Funny you should mention that.

I drove that truck, spoke at length with the owner/builder of the truck, and some of my comments were included in that article. So, being somewhat familiar with it, I'd like to say this about it-
The truck was built as an experiment, a "toy", not for serious purposes. However, once built and being used, the owner changed his mind about it, and now enjoys it for reasons you may not have considered. For one, he is into technology, so it checks a box for him, so to speak. For another, that truck does an EXCELLENT job of attracting young people to it, creating conversation amongst the youth who are being "programmed" by their educators to believe that old cars are to blame for destroying the planet. I witnessed two of those conversations myself just in the short time I was with the truck outside the hotel in Utah.

I believe that truck, and eventually that article, could be used as ambassadors for the preservation of Model A and other antique vehicles in an ever increasingly (environmentally) hostile political discussion about personal transportation. Therefore, I agreed not only to partake and experience the vehicle, but also to contribute to the article you mentioned. I'm just looking at a much bigger future picture than some, perhaps.

I knew way before even making contact to arrange in in-person encounter with that truck that there would be people throwing hate at the build or the builder. My mind was changed the moment I saw it in person and heard what the builder had to say. Turns out, Dennis is one heck of a good Model A guy, and just wanted to try something different. And it worked.
