Power assisted steering or manual?
The idler arm should help with that shimmy, assuming it was replaced with a good one.

When the front-end was realigned after new parts were installed was extra 'positive' Caster included in the adjustments? It needs to go a bit beyond original specs.
It helps the steering self-center and is usually needed when using radial tires on vehicles that originally had bias-ply tires.
