I just looked it up in my 1980 Snap-on Catalog, Called a Cylinder Head Wrench/Torque Adaptor. "Designed for getting around obstructions and reaching into restricted areas when removing or torquing cylinder heads.

The nice one I referred to already sold.

Thanks, I have a couple of them, I just have never had a name for them.

I have never had a need for one when removing a Model A head.

Mostly used to re-tighten head nuts without removing the distributor.

Probably not, but they help when retorquing a head to maneuver around the distributor and such.

Snap-on date code will be stamped on the wrench, usually by the part number.

I have one of those. While they do work, they are very crudely made. The Snap-On tool is not much different in price if you watch. MAC Tools also made one. I have all 3 on display out in my shop.

A crowfoot wrench at 90 deg to my torque wrench works fine for me.
