Should be straight and go almost the full length of the axle. Really strange. Rear track bar is shorter....

Are they mounted on the wrong axles? Rear is shorter and curves up. I'll try to get you some pictures.

I think the bend on the drivers side is suppose to be there.....Found a shop manual drawing, shows the bend near the end, but straight otherwise

I think your track bar is mounted upside down and backwards. The sharp kinked end goes to the pass side. I’ve seen some that are pretty straight after the kink near the end, and others have a slight bend. Mine on my ‘46 Merc has a bit of a bend, but not nearly as much as yours. If you PM me, I can send a couple photos

Here is the same technical drawing I found in a parts catalogue. I assume the way its oriented is the way its to be installed.

If you look at the last set of pictures, I would mount yours the same way.
The "kink" on the passenger side. The bend in the kink down. You can see how the bar is mounted on the bolt on mount that is still attached. |

I have never seen a R/H drive '42-'48 so I don't know if they were built differently than their L/H drive brothers (or sisters if you prefer). |
