Working with a museum in another state that is trying to put an AA trans. back together. Their question is how the rear bearing retainer parts are assembled.
Was wondering which way the inner plate is installed. Any pictures available? Thanks for any help. |

Glass beaded my motor mounts to get them ready for paint on my ‘29 Tudor. Still have 4 months to wait for my engine and trans to come back from the Rebuild Shop. Tomorrow I will be dropping off my radiator for a cleaning / repair / paint at the radiator shop.

Here are a couple of pictures that might be of use.....this transmission was in an A ccpu so the rear retainer has been altered, but it might give you a starting point

You only use one of those parts, depends on what coupling shaft you have. If you have a u-joint on the trans output you use the large bearing retainer. If you have the splined coupling shaft you use
the small stamped retainer. |
