Re: Newbie: 1936 Ford Deluxe Truck Model 67
Good luck and I hope you get this truck. While everyone says they are cool to look at, they do take up room, parts are heavy, they only really carry one passenger and go down the road a bit slow. None of this had held me back, but others just enjoy watching. I have filled my garage with two Model 51 trucks and lots of parts so I can't take any more on.
Did you share the image of the dash with the ash tray and cigar lighter. If not, it would be interesting to see. |

Moosemoon,
Thanks for the interior picture. It's great to see an original truck. The ashtray and cigar lighter are exactly where I thought they would be installed. It's also interesting to see the dash cover painted in body color along with the windshield pillar garnish moldings in body color. I'd love to put my eyes on that truck in person. I just assume it's on the West Coast? Dave |

Have not reached price agreement with buyer - think we might be too far apart.
Thanks for all your input! |

One final thought. This truck may have been repainted. The cover on the dash and the windshield post garnish moldings should be black, not body color. Maybe you can use this to your negotiating advantage?

Re: Newbie: 1936 Ford Deluxe Truck Model 67
Thanks Model51 - even if it has been repainted I don’t think he will come down enough to where I am comfortable. I have appreciated all the info and comments.
If I get some time and he hasn’t sold it, I might go check it out in person. Need 3 day to do that. Not time I have right now. He says he plans to put it up for auction on another site. I wish him well. |

Re: Newbie: 1936 Ford Deluxe Truck Model 67
If the VIN represents the seven digits after "BB18-", then the engine-transmission assembly was built in late August 1936. This fits with the deluxe package availability starting in May 1936. If it was assembled in Dearborn, then it's likely from September 1936 and near the end of the Model 51 production run.
While this is a wonderful truck and I'd love to have it in my garage, the price is still too much for my budget, never mind that I don't have a spare garage bay either. Hope it goes to a good home and is treated with respect as it should. |

Re: Newbie: 1936 Ford Deluxe Truck Model 67
Evidently, by this post, the 1936 Ford Deluxe closed cab models 51 & 67 did have a dome light. This is in reference to my post yesterday about not being able to find a part #. I have the green book, 1936 passenger and trucks chassis parts list, and the 1935-1936 body parts catalog. Possibly I am missing something?
