Default Re: Headers

"Original" Fenton headers DO have ford part numbers on them "FORD 7101 R.H. & L.H."

I have 3 sets of them , will take pics later & post
All 3 sets have numbers. Also notice the lower center bolt on left side. Originals take a long bolt. Repops do not.

Just an opinion here but I think that those numbers are Fenton numbers from the "original" Fenton Headers indicating they are for Ford.

I would say that those numbers are Fenton's numbers denoting the application for these headers. Thus indicating these are for a Ford, 7101 indicating which Ford (a flathead), and of course right and left. Not a real, 'official' Ford number.

I would be very sure the numbers are Fentons number but this answers the original posters question. I personally have never even considered this being genuine “Ford” part numbers. Sorry if I led anyone to believe that I thought otherwise.
Cheers
