From the early 28 section 2016 RG&JS
The "red" steering wheel had no relief where the spokes met the rim. The spokes were narrower, 13/16" instead of 1". The progression of reddish brown steering wheels is as follows:
• Beginning of production through January 1928 - Grooved rim, narrow spokes no "V" at the spoke/rim junctions.
