there is a beeper on the system but it is hard to hear when driving. I used the small switch, made a little stainless bracket mounted it up under the left side of the dash rail. the bracket hangs down a little and I installed two little LED lights in it.

I have a beeper on my current switch, but IMHO if it is self cancelling, the beeper is not as essential.
