If the punishments matched the crimes, hopefully, there would be LESS CRIME. I personally feel that our "entertainment" media sometimes goes overboard, in "instructing" folks how to commit crimes & tend to sometimes GLORIFY them! "ANYTHING FOR THAT EVERLOVIN' BUCK" Bill W.

How I miss the enjoyment of life without computers, cell phones and smut and violence laden TV and movies. (On a side note I must admit I do love the computers for info search, buying parts and sharing thoughts...such as this.)

Back in the early '90 we had moved to a new house, since it was only 10 miles away we moved in one day (Fri), I parked my '57 in the driveway for the night planning to move the boxes and other items out of the garage and into the house the next day and move the car into the garage.
When I came out the next morning our '57 was gone, I was in a panic to say the least, long story short, we found it at an tow yard on Monday, they wanted $300, they said it was parked on the street for over 72 hours, said if we did not have the money we could just sign it over and we'd be even. I threw down $300 cash and got my car, minus the items that were in it and the 3/4 gas that was there, of course they denied everything. I later found out that this tow yard was owned partly by some local cops. This happened ONE more time, they took it right out of my driveway both times, I have never left any of my old cars out over night since. This all happened in Sacramento Calif Moral of this story...sometimes the crookes wear badges. Note: 1/2 my Family members are cops
