I am very frustrated over an incorrect part I ordered and received from a well regarded supplier. The package has the correct p/n, but it is obviously the wrong part. It is a very simple situation. I have been trying to contact them for one week now via email (they have two email addresses) and by phone, which I have called countless times and is only answered stating they cannot receive voicemails at this time.
This supplier has been recommended recently several times as a solution to a member's problem. I am reluctant to call them out publicly, but at this point I don't know what else to do. What say you?

I would call them out. This may be a problem that is just starting and others need to know.

All is resolved at this point, supplier has employee issues and other speedbumps. He reached out to me and all is well.

Hands up in the air!!!!!
I'll take the blame for this whole thread of discussion and apologize to anyone whom has experienced communication issues with my business. As I type this I am on my 14th hour here at work, But lack of decent help and other issues are not a good excuse for poor service. Thankful to the original poster for being a gentleman and very understanding! This truly is a hobby full of genuine great people. Last edited by 35fordtn; 05-28-2025 at 08:48 PM. |

"All's well that ends well!" it's more than just a smile vs a frown, it is a biological occurrence. our bodies produce things that make us feel happy and conversely... make things that make us feel not so happy! events and situations can be the cause (trigger) of either or both!; mutually exclusive.
speaking of employees... a large area medical facility down here just announced its temporary closing is now permanent! reason: lack of customers (patients) and staffing issues! lack of! now the issue is what to do with the multi-million $$ empty facility! but I feel happy to see all's well that ends well! ![]()

Ford 38V8...My wife's medical provider charges a fee if you do not show up for an appointment without cancelling. When they call to confirm appointments, they have one of those recordings stating that this appointment time has been set aside especially for her. When you arrive 15 minutes early to make sure you are on time, if you are lucky, the doctor will finally see you anywhere from 90 minutes to over 2 hours after your scheduled time.

The employee problem seems to be a sign of the times, and yet it is not new either. Many years ago when there were traditional gas stations, my father stopped at his regular gas station. No one came out right away, the owner came out after a bit and explained that his new hire didn't show up. My father said "I will pump gas for you until you find another employee". And he did. My father was a high level manager at a well known company.
Another story is about my wife's uncle who poured concrete foundations. It was not unusual for a new hire not to return after lunch. I did a little better, mine usually stayed the whole day but did not return the next. I had an excavation business. Jobs can't always be done with a machine, it takes handwork.

What is harder to understand is when you hire a day laborer at the going rate, he follows you home in his truck to do the yardwork you’ve already explained to him, and he declines the job, leaving you in the lurch, wasting half the morning.

Alan,
The younger generation's favorite song is Sixteen Tons. Their favor line ---- .....another day older and deeper in debt. Someone needs to tell them that using a plastic card (or their phone) is not a continual source of available money or funds. I wish them well. |

Even so called skilled workers are sometimes hard to get that will stay. Here in NW Ohio every car dealer has and has had signs up "hiring techs".....they come & go at the drop of a hat. We've been to a local fast food place where it's not uncommon to have the manager & 1.......one employee show up. Just go fire up the Flatty and all will be well.
