Some beautiful work by Lawrie. Not sure if I can see a strobe display. That's pretty tricky. If you plan to try to build your own, first figure out how to make a good sharp strobe when...

Re: Can't find thread on distributor timing

"They did require special adapters for some types when running them on the Sun machines."

Rotor, you are correct. Here's the Apple Peeler Adapter.

Re: Can I/should I attempt to rebuild my helmet dizzy?

If you are even thinking about it, do it.

Use caution pulling the internals out of the housing. You may have to soak the insides with penetrating oil and even carefully warm up the housing with a...

First, thank you to those who posted responses ... don't know why there is never a lot of discussion on Sun testers. Maybe it's because some guys want to avoid arguing.

Sadly some of the advice...

Early Helmet Distributor Spec Error

In a recent tread "Rockfl" had questions about the caps on his helmet distributor. Questions came up about the fit and possible mix-ups of early (1932-1936) caps and plates with later (1937-1941)...

Usually if you just use the correct parts, everything is fine. A lot of guys have been confused by the early plates vs the late plates, sometime...
