I have used a borescope camera to check TDC and looking for stuck valves. They are available on Amazon for around $24.00, and are a great tool. They just plug into your phone.

The vent on cars with a torque tube is through the torque tube itself, however, if you install a Mitchell, the torque tube is only about 12 inches long from the banjo to the gearbox, requiring a vent...

On my 39 with a Mitchell, I vented it on the top of the axle housing about midway, using a threaded barb with a hose and small filter.

On my 35, I soldered wires to the side of the bulb sockets and ran them to a good ground on the frame. Also painted the inside white.

Some of the new repop ones had problems with it not holding due to the tabs being too short. I added some JB weld to the tabs for the fix.

Do a search on amazon. Just make sure of the correct Bayonet base, whether it is single or dual contact and of the locking tabs are offset or parallel. Also make sure they are non polarity.

Thanks again to everyone for the help to this 83 year old man. My plan is to box the Distributor up just like it came off the car and have it tested on a Sun machine. I'll check with Third Generation...

Update, Today I changed out the crab distributor, condenser and cap and I now am running on all 8, with steady vacuum and the car doesn't shake. still clueless on to what is going on with the...

The vacuum fitting is on the driver side, have a vacuum gauge on the wiper port.

I have done several using a roller from Hobby Lobby. I then clean the edges with turpentine on a Q tip. Then clear coat. This is the method used by the late Gerald Thiele.

Mart the compression is around 110 on each cylinder and using a bore scope camera, both valves are opening and closing.

It’s bouncing between 19 and 20, car shakes and definitely running on just 6 cylinders. Number one and two cylinders are not getting fuel. Tried another carburetor and got same results. I guess it’s...
