Is there much space behind the ring that is not visible when it is installed? I've had good results using the plastic version of JB Weld although the metal version might work just as well. Layered...

If it is anything like the '54 Ford it is a convoluted wire scheme that I doubt can be duplicated with a more modern relay. Does it have about eight terminals?

C&G Ford Parts is where I got the engine paint for mine. They show a light green for Merc flatheads but nothing for a '54. You might give them a call though. https://cgfordparts.com/

I finally have the gearbox installed and although it turns much smoother the play in the steering wheel is still there. I guess I'll have to live with it because the play isn't in the box, it is...

Concours copper, original looking radiators are about $800 with shipping. I've decided to hold off on either of them until I get my tax bill. I'm leaning toward the Concourse because it is US made.

Concours Parts lists type 1 and type 2 and show the mounting brackets on the sides are different. They don't show prices in their catalog though. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

I found a 6 blade on Larry's for $60. Is that what you found?
Also, the measurements aren't quite right on the radiator. Is the fitment good?

'54 Ford Victoria body and seats
This is a gutted '54 with no stainless, glass, engine or transmission. Fairly good sheet metal & frame, good seats. TX nonrepairable vehicle title.
