I've bought and sold many cars on CL.
What works for me is proper description, many pictures, and wording, accepting only actual phone calls...a lot easier to sort out/rule out certain potential...

Safe to say, the majority of the people who have an appreciation for these early cars in original condition are dwindling every year.
At 68 I grew up with driving manual shift, 4 wheel drum brake,...

Delco-Remy starters basically use the same "body" for the SBC's..allowing the rebuilders to install the interchangeable "nose cones" on various bodies..therefore "numbers on the body" would'nt help...

The '41 has the wide "waterfall" hood emblem, along with two wide trim pieces on either side.
The '41 uses the Ford plate emblem on the rear of the hood near the cowl, and also on the dashboard...

I had my 8ba rebuilt by Cope Bros. in Parkland (Tacoma) 253-531-1776 with good results.
Over the years I've had them do a few SBC's, and a BBC also, all with good results.
