adjustable tappets
Good morning, I was wondering what kind of a job it is to adjust tappets in a flathead. Starting to clatter, engine was rebuilt in 1993, runs great but a little noisy. I bought the adjustable lifters...

Hello, Who sells new camshafts for a 42 Mercury. I hope the noise is the adjustable tappets, but just in case I want to find a source for a new camshaft. Thanks.

Is there a Harley Davidson brake light switch that works in old Fords. I am useing silicone fluid, regular switches don't last very long. Thanks

Thinking of relocating to Florida. I own a 42 Merc with 3.78 rear, thinking of going to 3.25. What kind of a job is this and will I be able to get the right gear for the speedometer? Thanks.

speedometer cable
Hi, I am having trouble with speedometer cable breaking. I noticed by experimenting that the nut can't be tightened very much or the cable binds up. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help....

I had the same problem on my 42 Merc. Installed a modern coil with built in resistor several years ago, no problems since.

headlight brightness
The headlights on my 42 Merc are not bright at all. Are they normally this way or is there a way to make them brighter? I know I don't see as well as I used to, I don't want to drive the car at...
